Acts 13:38-39 NIV
38 “Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. 39 Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
This is the good news of the New Testament, that through Jesus, God forgives our sins; therefore we are no longer captive to sin. Under this new law, Jesus has paid the ultimate sacrifice with his blood on the cross and so the law of Moses has been surpassed by the Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.
